Two distinct individuals, separate, but better together.
This is "Marriage." Or at least it was my marriage.
I met my husband on a ten day cruise. A couple months later we married, and 28 years later he passed away.
At our wedding, people were laying bets on how long we'd last. Two weeks to two years was the consensus. But we proved them wrong.
Not to say that it was perfect. He used to drive me crazy. And, I am sure that I was not always perfection to him either, but through it all we stayed strong. Partners. Teammates. Best friends. Lovers.
He's gone now and I'm having to learn to swim in my own sea again. Alone. We are once again two distinct entities. He in his realm and me in mine. Separated by the infinite, but, I like to think, still apart of each other.
"Marriage" is an energetic representation of two people standing tall, their souls entangled, gambling on life and love, winning and losing.
Together.
